The Intel Core i5-13500TE is a low power embedded processor with fourteen cores and twenty threads, built on Intel's 13th generation Core architecture, codenamed Raptor Lake. It is a hybrid design: six performance cores running from 1.30 GHz to 4.50 GHz under Turbo Boost, plus eight efficient cores from 1.10 GHz to 3.10 GHz, backed by 24 MB of Intel Smart Cache within a 35 W base power envelope. It installs in an FCLGA1700 socket, takes either DDR5 or DDR4, and supports ECC memory. As an embedded SKU it is offered on Intel's extended availability terms, which is what makes it suitable for designs that have to stay buildable for years.

Compatibility and integration considerations

This processor uses the FCLGA1700 socket, so it shares no platform with the FCLGA1151 and FCLGA1200 parts elsewhere in this family and cannot be dropped into an older board. Fourteen cores inside a 35 W base power envelope means the base clocks are low, 1.30 GHz on the performance cores and 1.10 GHz on the efficient cores, so sustained all core work should be sized against those figures rather than the 4.50 GHz headline. This part has more efficient cores than performance cores, which suits throughput work but makes the operating system's Thread Director support more important, not less. Memory is dual channel, either DDR5 at up to 4800 MT/s or DDR4 at up to 3200 MT/s, with a 128 GB ceiling. ECC is supported subject to chipset and board support. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 requires display outputs on the board. Intel publishes only a Processor Base Power figure for the embedded SKUs and no Maximum Turbo Power, so there is no official peak power number to size a supply or a VRM against. Typical use cases

This processor suits fanless and thermally constrained industrial systems that still need a high thread count, such as compact edge servers, multi camera controllers and consolidated automation boxes. It is the part to specify when the work is wide and continuous rather than latency sensitive, and when the enclosure cannot carry a 65 W part.
