Intel Core i5-4570TE 4th Gen Embedded Processor, 2-Core, LGA1150
The Intel Core i5-4570TE is an embedded processor with two cores and four threads, built on Intel's 4th generation Core architecture, codenamed Haswell. It runs at a base frequency of 2.70 GHz and reaches 3.30 GHz under Turbo Boost, backed by 4 MB of Intel Smart Cache within a 35 W thermal envelope. It installs in an FCLGA1150 socket and supports ECC memory, which the desktop parts on the same socket do not, and that combination is usually the reason it is specified.

Compatibility and integration considerations
Intel lists this processor as compatible with the C226 chipset, the 9 series chipsets Z97 and H97, and the 8 series chipsets H81, B85, H87, Q87, Q85 and Z87. It shares the FCLGA1150 socket and DDR3 memory support with the 4th generation desktop parts, so it drops into the same boards, but the part number misleads: this is a two core processor where the desktop i5-4570S is a four core processor, and it is a separate low power embedded part rather than a slower bin of the same die. ECC memory is supported, which the i5-4570S does not offer, and the C226 workstation chipset is on the compatibility list, which together are the usual reason to specify this part over its desktop sibling. Memory runs in dual channel DDR3 at up to 1600 MT/s with a 32 GB ceiling. Cooling rated for 35 W is sufficient, well under the desktop parts that share the socket.
Typical use cases
This processor is specified into industrial PCs, machine vision controllers, medical equipment and other long life embedded systems where ECC memory and a low thermal envelope matter more than core count. Intel stopped issuing servicing updates on 30 June 2021, so demand is now replacement and fleet maintenance for platforms already qualified on it.
